HOW DO I KNOW WHICH TEXTBOOKS I NEED FOR MY CLASSES?
Go to the TEXTBOOKS tab and click ORDER TEXTBOOKS. In order to view your materials, enter your class schedule.
- Select the term (ex. Fall 20 order now)
- Select your class department code (ex. BLGY)
- Select your course number & section number (ex. 1117 03)
- Repeat for all your classes, then click VIEW YOUR MATERIALS
ARE USED BOOKS AVAILABLE FOR MY CLASSES?
The BOOKStore does it's best to obtain used copies of textbooks, but sometimes used titles are unavailable. If you would prefer used textbooks please indicate this as your preference for your online order and we will do our best to honor your request.
CAN I USE MY STUDENT ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE MY TEXTBOOKS?
Yes! Student charging is an optional form of payment for purchasing textbooks and other course materials from St. Cloud Technical & Community College BOOKStore. SCTCC Students are allowed to charge up to $1500. You can charge textbooks and required course materials during the charging period which can be found under "Dates to Remember."
ARE TEXTBOOKS AVAILABLE FOR RENT?
Some titles are available for rent. If a rental option is available for a textbook, it will be listed as an option next to the textbook information.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR TEXTBOOK RENTALS?
To rent a textbook, students must have their student ID number, and a valid credit/ debit card (physical card is needed for in-store rentals, no tap to pay) . Students can only write and/or minimal highlights in their rented textbooks. Books are due back to the BOOKStore no later than 5 pm on the last day of current of the semester. Failure to return rented textbooks on time will result in being charged the original purchase price of the textbook minus the rental price you already paid. Students may also be charged if their rental textbook is severely damaged (ex. torn pages, cover, or binding).
WHEN WILL MY TEXTBOOKS BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP?
You will receive an email confirmation from [email protected] after your order has been submitted. You will receive a second email when your order has been fulfilled and ready for pick up or shipped. Please wait for your second email before coming to the BOOKStore to pick up your web order.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO RETURN MY TEXTBOOKS?
You can return textbooks that you have purchased up to two weeks after classes have started for the semester. After that date, returns can be made up to two business days after your initial date of purchase. Textbooks must be in original condition. Any damaged textbooks or opened packages will not be accepted for returns.
CAN I SELL MY USED TEXTBOOKS TO THE CAMPUS STORE?
The BOOKStore Book Buyback happens at the end of each fall and spring semester (dates will be posted). Students must have their student ID number. Books are purchased on a first-come, first-served basis. When quantity limits are reached, students have the option of selling their books to a Wholesale Used Book Company. Books must be in saleable condition. Books with water damage, torn pages, and workbooks with answers filled in with ink will not be bought back. (Pencil can be erased and minimal highlights is okay).
